Extra Services

Earn and collect extra revenue with Services upsells

Integrate Supercart's additional services to boost your revenue by including them in your cart. Without extra services, you miss out on potential earnings. Simply select the services that align best with your business needs.

Priority Processing, Extended Warranty, and Purchase Protection are the most popular extra services. On average, our merchants earn $1k to $10k monthly from extra services.

When the first product is added to the cart, all extra services are automatically added to the cart if the auto-select is enabled. You have the option to apply either a fixed fee or a percentage-based fee calculated from the total cart value.

Why would you add extra services to your cart?

  1. Self-insure and Shipping Protection: Don't leave money on the table; self-insure and protect your orders, offset the cost of lost, stolen, and damaged shipments, and make your customers happy ❤️ at the same time with the Order Protection widget.

  2. Priority Processing: Use Rush Processing to make your customers feel special (VIP) by shipping their orders faster and getting additional revenue for your store.

  3. Self-Warranty: Create an extended Warranty policy and allow your customers to add a warranty to their products.

  4. Extended Returns: Give your customers more time to return their products. You can extend returns to 45, 60, or 90 days instead of 30 days for an additional fee with extended Returns.

  5. Donations: Allow your customers to offer you donations for your cause (collect Donations).

  6. Gift Wrapping: With Gift Packing, you can charge an additional fee for a special package.

  7. Green Packing: With Green Packing, you can use recyclable materials and charge an extra fee.

  8. Handling fees: Required fees are interesting. This particular service is unique in that it may be mandatory and cannot be disabled by the customer.

Some options available for each Supercart extra service

You are in total control of your service fees and can adjust them as you please. You also keep 100% of the revenue the Supercart Extra Service widget generates for your store.

2. Change your service title or subtitle

Customize the service to suit your needs. Select either a fixed or dynamic subtitle that changes with the service status.

  1. Static Subtitle (it doesn't change if the service is on or off)

  2. Dynamic Subtitle (it changes when service is on or off)

3. Service Description

The service description will be visible when your customer clicks the service icon button.

4. Service fees

The service fee is either fixed or calculated percentage fee based on the cart's total price, excluding other Supercart extra services or product exclusions.

A. Fixed Fee

This one is pretty simple; you just set your own fee, and it will stay fixed.

B. Dynamic Fees

When you will enable the percentage fees, you will see a new set of options.

  1. Fixed Fee (applied when the fixed fee is greater than percentage fee)

  2. Percent Fee (applied when the percentage fee is greater than the fixed fee)

  3. Incremental Rate - The price will increment every $0.5 up to $50 (100 variants limit)

  4. Reduced Cents - Adjust decimals, like $4**.99**, $2**.98** or $10**.47** for more attractive prices

C. Reduced Cents

If you want fees like $1.99 or $2.98, use reduced cents to subtract from your fixed and percentage fees. A $0.02 reduction will reduce $0.02 cents from all service fees.

For example, $3, will become $2.98

D. Incremental rates

Increase the range of your dynamic prices by adjusting the incrementing rate. In this case, the fixed fee will become the starting fee.

Example 1: The default Incremental rate is $0.5. Because the Shopify variant limit is 100, the dynamic service fee will increase every $0.5 up to $50.

Example 2: If you set the incremental rate at $0.8, the dynamic service fee will increase every $0.8 up to $79.98 because the Shopify variant limit is 100.

5. Service Settings

A. When you enable Auto Select, the service will be automatically added to the cart.

B. Set all variants as taxable.

C. Set Required Shipping on the extra service.

D. When you set the toggle switch or checkbox, you choose a switch or checkbox.

7. Service Icon

To customize your service icon, upload your icon to your Shopify dashboard under /admin/files. Then, copy and paste the URL into the designated field below.

Alternatively, use one of the icons we have provided.

8. Product Exclusion

You can exclude certain products from being calculated by the Supercart service widget.

You have several options: custom product handles, by product type, vendor, or SKU.

Product exclusion will subtract the final_line_price of the excluded product from the cart total price. If there is only a single product in cart and this is an excluded product, the widget will be removed automatically.

9. Auto-Fulfillment

Enable the auto-fulfillment feature in your account settings to automatically fulfill all Supercart extra services upon order placement. This will prevent you from having orders with partially-fulfilled status.
